FATHALA PARK

Situated 12 kilometers north of the Gambia/Senegalese border, Fathala Park offers an exciting adventure. Your day begins with an early morning pick-up for the drive to Banjul, The Gambia's capital, where you'll board a public ferry to Barra, immersing yourself in the lively atmosphere of the locals.

After a scenic one-hour journey across the River Gambia, you'll arrive at Barra and continue your drive through charming villages until you reach Amdalaye/Karang and the Gambian/Senegalese border for passport control.

 

Upon entering Senegal and reaching Fathala Park, an army truck will be ready to commence your approximately two-hour safari. Within the reserve, immerse yourself in the natural bush environment and, with a bit of luck, encounter various animals such as zebras, rhinos, giraffes, and monkeys. A packed lunch is provided before you catch the ferry back to Banjul.
